The animation developed for the Yirrganydji Creation Story focused on bringing the Dreamtime story to life. Every frame of the animation is illustrated to embody the power of the creation story and link it to contemporary science and landscape geology.

Binkyfilms were engaged by The Southern Cross School of Distance Education to develop an animation that would bring the dreaming story to life and engage the school-aged audience. The visuals are designed to reflect the natural flora and fauna of the area through simple and elegant flat illustration style graphics. The aim was to link the creation story to modern science through topographical maps and climatic graphs. The animation forms a key component of the cultural history of the Heron Island Virtual Excursion.
