The animation developed for the Wiradjuri Creation Story focused on natural beauty. Every frame of the animation is illustrated to inspire awe at the ecology of the Snowy Mountains region.

In this animation, Shane Herrington narrates his people’s ancient connection to the land through the creation story of the water for his people’s part of the country. The story of the Billadarang (platypus) explains the formation of the landscape and river system of the Snowy Mountains region.

Binkyfilms were engaged in developing an animation to bring the dreaming story to life and engage the school-aged audience. The visuals are designed to reflect the natural flora and fauna of the area through simple and elegant flat illustration style graphics. The animation forms a key component of the cultural history of the Snowy Mountain Virtual Excursion.
