RECONCILIATION ACTION PLAN

2022

Bringing Reconciliation to Life

We collaborated with the NSW Education Department to create a promotional film for their first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). This film highlights their commitment to building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and encourages schools to take steps toward reconciliation. Through thoughtful storytelling and inclusive visuals, we aimed to capture the impact of this initiative on future generations.

We are proud to have collaborated with the New South Wales Education Department to produce a promotional film for the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). A RAP sets out how an organisation is committing to contribute to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The RAP demonstrates the NSW Education department's commitment to an inclusive workplace and celebrating our country's rich, diverse, resilient cultures. The Education Department's first RAP will lay the foundations for reconciliation initiatives in the future. It describes the structures the department will put in place to strengthen their relationships with Aboriginal stakeholders, raise awareness and build a strong commitment to reconciliation across the corporate areas of the department. This video promotes the RAP process and encourages schools to take steps to adopt their own RAP.

Binkyfilms designed the film to embody the importance of reconciliation and the impact that it will have on future generations of Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians. The film and graphics aim to include Indigenous voices in the department's core areas - students, teachers and corporate staff.
