Pinch yourself—Reservoir Crabs is here, and it’s as fun as science gets! Creating the trailer for this game was a blast, we were tasking with capturing the excitement of observing AR fiddler crabs in action. These little guys wave, fight, and interact just like the real thing, but without the stress or unpredictability. Set at the Crab Cove Research Station, the game puts players in the role of behavioral scientists, running experiments and uncovering the secrets of crabby behavior. The trailer is packed with energy, curiosity, and a whole lot of claw-some vibes. Ready to dive in? Let’s get crabby!
Our approach was all about creating a visual experience that feels like getting a glimpse into a scientist’s notes from Crab Cove Research Station. We designed a grid paper flat-lay covered in postcards, each showcasing a feature of the game. We filled the space between with scribbled notes and a healthy layers of sand and scattered seashells, giving the board an authentic, beachy vibe that feels like it’s been pulled straight out of a real-world research station. This playful yet detailed design highlights the game's scientific focus while keeping it fun, immersive, and full of personality.
We also designed the logo, bringing Arludo's vision to life with plenty of shells and crabs! The logo is bursting with beachy fun! Featuring two bold, cartoonish fiddler crabs front and center, their expressive faces perfectly capture the mix of curiosity and determination the game delivers. Surrounded by a sandy border dotted with seashells, the logo gives off serious coastal research vibes. The bright, playful typography pops against the watery backdrop, tying it all together with a splash of personality. It’s fun, quirky, and packed with attitude—just like the game itself. Get ready to dive into the crabbiest adventure ever!
